I'm Yile Liu, an undergraduate in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the ZJU-UIUC Institute, currently in Haining, China. I'll be on the Urbana-Champaign campus from Fall 2027, and I expect to graduate in 2029.
My interests are compilers, operating systems, and LLM/Agents.
Projects
LLVMIRToLC3Pass is an out-of-tree LLVM pass, written in C++, that lowers a subset of LLVM IR generated from C to LC-3 assembly: a 16-bit ISA with eight registers.
It supports add, and, shl, mul, alloca, store, br, load, icmp, phi, select, call, udiv, urem, lshr and switch. R6 is the stack pointer, R5 the frame pointer, R7 holds the return address. Every virtual register gets a stack slot, unsigned values are treated as signed, and there is no floating-point support.
Experience
Intern, Music Large-Model Group, Migu Music (China Mobile), Chengdu, summer 2026. Ran experiments and analysed the results to settle the reinforcement-learning setup and its hyperparameters for the company's music generation model; the work was on DPO-based preference optimisation, with diffusion transformers (DiT) and VAEs on the generation side.
